چکیده

Context. The chemical pathways linking the small organic molecules commonly observed in molecular clouds to large, complex, polycyclic species long suspected of being carriers ubiquitous unidentified infrared emission bands remain unclear. Aims. To investigate whether formation mono- and cold cores could form via bottom-up reaction carbon-chain with, for example, atomic hydrogen, a search is made possible intermediates data taken as part GOTHAM (GBT Observations TMC-1: Hunting Aromatic Molecules) project. Methods. Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) source models were run obtain column densities excitation temperatures. Astrochemical examine routes, including (a) novel grain-surface pathway involving hydrogenation C 6 N HC N, (b) purely gas-phase reactions between 3 both propyne (CH CCH) allene 2 CCH ), (c) CN + H CCCHCCH. Results. We report first detection cyanoacetyleneallene (H CCCHC N) space toward TMC-1 cloud using Robert C. Byrd 100 m Green Bank Telescope. Cyanoacetyleneallene may represent an intermediate less-saturated carbon chains, such cyanopolyynes, that are characteristic more recently discovered cyclic species, cyanocyclopentadiene. Results from our show allene-based route particular produces abundances match density × 10 11 cm −2 obtained MCMC model, yields large on ices potentially be important precursors molecules.

extremal region detection guided by maxima of gradient magnitude

a problem of computer vision applications is to detect regions of interest under dif- ferent imaging conditions. the state-of-the-art maximally stable extremal regions (mser) detects affine covariant regions by applying all possible thresholds on the input image, and through three main steps including: 1) making a component tree of extremal regions’ evolution (enumeration), 2) obtaining region ...

Detection of in the Diffuse Interstellar Medium: the Galactic Center

Absorption lines of have been detected in the spectra of two infrared sources in the Galactic 3 center and also toward the heavily reddened star Cygnus OB2 No. 12, whose line of sight is believed to include only di†use interstellar gas. The absorptions toward the Galactic center sources (IRS 3 and GCS 3-2) probably are due to both in di†use gas and in molecular clouds. The ratios of line equiva...

Detection of H 3 1 in the Diffuse Interstellar Medium

The molecular ion H3 1 is considered the cornerstone of interstellar chemistry because it initiates the reactions responsible for the production of many larger molecules. Recently discovered in dense molecular clouds, H3 1 has now been observed in the diffuse interstellar medium toward Cygnus OB2 No. 12. Analysis of H3 1 chemistry suggests that the high H3 1 column density (3.8 3 10 per square ...

Detection of Interstellar Acetone toward the Orion-kl Hot Core

We present the first detection of interstellar acetone [(CH3)2CO] toward the high mass star forming region Orion-KL and the first detection of vibrationally excited (CH3)2CO in the ISM. Using the BIMA Array, 28 emission features that can be assigned to 54 acetone transitions were detected. Furthermore, 37 of these transitions have not been previously observed in the ISM. The observations also s...
